June 07 SAUCY SEAFOODS A WINNER FOR CATERERS [Frozen and Chilled Foods Magazine]
ACCOLADE Foods' new range of saucy seafoods is set to take the business of
topped baked potatoes and pasta up market. Having used the IFE 2007 to launch
its IQF Garlic and Herb
and Red Thai Sauce King Prawns these have now been followed by
Salmon Carbonara and Tuna Napolitana
(link to product details). The new lines are cubes of fish which have been coated in sauce and individually quick frozen to deliver microwavable products which can be cooked from frozen in seconds. The products offer great flexibility and are ideal served as a starter or as part of a main meal with pasta, noodles, rice or potato. For ease of preparation the products can be cooked from frozen either by pan frying, microwave or oven bake. "We believe the winning combination of flexibility in the type of meal options available using these products, ease of preparation and of course excellent quality will prove attractive to the catering sector." said Accolade Foods director Mark Eland.
